  • Design System: Consolidate tokens/components; >90% adoption in target squads; accessibility‑ready primitives (WCAG 2.2 AA+).
  • Research rigor: Establish mixed‑methods cadence and ResearchOps (panels, consent, repository) with quarterly insights reports.
  • Experimentation & Analytics: Define North‑Star/input metrics; run A/B & MAB tests with guardrails; publish experiment playbook.
  • DesignOps: Implement intake → prioritization → reviews → design QA; improve time‑to‑spec by 20–30%.
  • Org & talent: Hire/level team to ~10; implement ladders, critique culture, and mentoring program.

  • Own portfolio roadmap with Product & Engineering; align on OKRs, investments, and trade‑offs.
  • Influence VP/SVP/C‑suite with evidence‑based storytelling and clear decision logs.

Design Excellence

  • Own end‑to‑end product design: IA, interaction, visual/UI, content design, prototyping (lo‑fi → hi‑fi), motion.
  • Maintain a multi‑brand, multi‑platform Design System (tokens, components, guidelines, linting).
  • Enforce accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA+) and inclusive design; conduct audits and drive remediations.

Research & Insights

  • Run mixed‑methods research (generative & evaluative), including Quant UX (SUS/SEQ, sampling, confidence intervals, power analysis).
  • Establish ResearchOps (panels, consent/ethics, templates, repository) and partner with Data (Amplitude/Mixpanel/GA4).

DesignOps & Delivery

  • Implement intake → prioritization → sprint rituals → design QA integrated with SDLC (Jira/Linear).
  • Create spec standards (measurable acceptance criteria) and design‑to‑code workflows (Figma variables/tokens → Storybook/CI/CD).

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Embed privacy‑by‑design; partner with Security/Legal/Compliance (e.g., PCI, SOC 2, ISO 27001 as applicable).
  • Ensure localization/i18n readiness, including right‑to‑left support and terminology governance.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Manage design budget (tools, incentives, vendors) and govern external partners (SLA, quality, knowledge transfer).

Qualifications

Must‑have

  • Portfolio showing shipped work at scale and Design System ownership.
  • Strong accessibility practice; inclusive design and assistive tech testing.
