1. About this audit

Intelletto.ai produces [a score] for each job application that recruiters use to decide which applications to review first. Because that output can substantially assist hiring decisions, it may count as an automated employment decision tool (AEDT) under New York City Local Law 144.

The law requires employers that use an AEDT for New York City candidates to have it independently audited for bias within the year before use, and to publish a summary of the results. This page summarises the independent audit of Intelletto.ai so our customers can rely on it and link to it.

5. Notes for employers

Under Local Law 144, the obligations fall on the employer or employment agency that uses the tool, not on Intelletto.ai. This audit is designed to support those obligations, but it does not meet them for you.

  • Publish the summary. Post this summary, or a link to it, on the employment section of your website, with the distribution date of the tool.
  • Notify candidates. Tell candidates who live in New York City that an AEDT is used, what job qualifications and characteristics it assesses, and how to request an alternative selection process or accommodation. Do this at least 10 business days before use, for example in the job posting or on your careers page.
  • Disclose data practices. Make information about the type and source of data collected and your retention policy available, on your website or on written request.
  • Check the audit fits your use. If you have enough historical data of your own, the audit may need to use it. Ask your counsel whether this audit covers your use, or whether you need one using your own data.

Our Candidate privacy notice explains how Intelletto.ai handles applicants’ information, and you can link to it from your own notice. For the full audit report or audit support, contact hello@intelletto.ai.
